My six-year-old nephew (and his sister) spent the night on Friday. I had seen these really fun StarWars backpack tags on Livinglocurto and bookmarked them to either make for or with Josiah since he’s a HUGE StarWars fan (so much so, that he said “Chewbacca” before he could say my name). His mom asked me to take him to a birthday part for a friend on Saturday. Turns out that friend’s party was StarWars themed. A special project was in order! While laminating the tags would be ideal, we made do with some Mod Podge.
First we printed the tags on normal printer paper. Then we sprayed them with varnish so the ink wouldn’t bleed. Josiah did a great job helping spray it! (Note the backpack: he’s very proud of his new Batman backpack.)
Then I cut the tags out and traced around them on thin cardboard. After that, Josiah painted the Mod Podge on the cardboard and helped me rub the print-outs on. Then I cut a slit for a tie, and Josiah finished them off with another layer of Mod Podge.
We made a tag for Josiah, his friend Jared, and Josiah’s little brother, Micah (who was with his parents at a wedding). Josiah thought they were “AWESOME!!!!” and loved having me tie his on his new backpack. It was a fun project for us to do together.

OMG these are fabulous! My son would just die if I gave him one of these. Seriously. They are great!
