I finally dug out the roller, brush and paint and finished Jace’s bathroom today! I have a feeling my arms are going to be sore tomorrow, but it’s so worth it! After finishing some touch ups, I had to hang the pictures (see posts here and here) even though it was 10:30 pm and Jace was sleeping in the room next door. He slept through it though, and I’m so happy to close the door knowing I’m done! (We have to keep bathroom doors closed at all times in our house because otherwise the cat will destroy the toilet paper and pull the toilet paper holder off the wall and then hide the pieces around the house.)
And the best part about this bathroom re-do? I didn’t spend a penny. At least I didn’t spend a penny now. All the art and paint were supplies I already had in the house!
So, here you have it… some before and after shots!

So how did I do this without spending anything? The paint was left over from when I painted Jace’s room about this time last year. It is a light tan that looks much lighter in his room than it does in the bathroom. It’s the perfect shade for this small space—anything darker would be too dark. Plus—the color matches the floor, counter and back splash almost too perfectly! The signs over the towel rack were all frames I already had. I just freshened them up by painting them with paints I already had. The canvases over the toilet I bought 4 years ago and just haven’t used. The tub on the counter I was given in a gift set years ago, and I filled it with rolled up washcloths for some color. Everything else was already in the bathroom!
Wow! You've been busy! Can't wait to see it in person. Looks great:) I love the rubber duckies.
