My entry for round 3 of Crafting with the Stars, with the baby theme, was The Ruffle Party.
Even though I got voted out on this project, it was my favorite of all my entries in the competition.
I felt like it was the most me.
The outfit includes (all made by me): long sleeve onesie with ribbon rosettes at the collar, leggings, dress, flower pin for waist band, headband, and my favorite—shoes.
I originally designed it with my friend Erica’s daughter in mind. Ellie turned 1 two days after Jace. Her party theme was cupcakes. I thought this dress was the clothing equivalent of a cupcake.
Ellie was going to be my model, but then she decided to get all her molars at once and was feeling really crummy, so I had to snap pictures quickly and didn’t get anything that highlighted the shoes like I wanted. She was still cute, though, so I thought I’d share one of her with you.
The model I ended up using, Liv, is the daughter of a friend of my mom’s friend. She was super cute too!
I love the way the outfit turned out, so I am out of the competition without any regrets. And to be honest, I’m a little relieved. I just don’t know if I would have had the time or the energy or the money, or live in a town with good enough deals to be a true contender in the last round.
And once again, the part I had the most fun with:
This outfit is for size 12-18 months and will be available in my Etsy shop, Ruffles ‘n Such, in the next day or two.
Thanks for all the votes and support! I really do appreciate it.
Boo! I can't believe you got out voted this round. I LOVE this little outfit, the split in the front for crawling is genious.
