For Round 1 of SYTYC I made an Inspiration Station for my crafting area. I showed you how to make the cooling rack baskets the other day. Now for the flower picture holders!
From the Dollar Store I used a stem of fake flowers
Jumbo paper clips
A bamboo placemat
and grosgrain ribbon.
My other supplies were a hot glue gun and buttons. I started by taking apart the flowers. Just pull the pieces apart until the petals are free.
Put a small amount of glue around the center hole of the largest petals. Then just stick the next size down on it.
Continue until you’ve put the flower back together. I made sure and slightly turned the petals so they didn’t cover the layer before it perfectly. This allowed for a nice, full flower.
Glue a button to the middle. I thought the yellow was a cute and happy contrast with the pink.
Glue a paper clip to the back of the flower, with the clip part up.
Cut apart the bamboo placemat and use one of the sticks as a stem. Stick it on the glue over the paper clip.
Tie a bow out of the ribbon and glue it to the stem to look like leaves. I then added another button to the bow for some more cuteness.
Then just stick a picture of whatever you want in the flower. I used pictures of crafts I’d like to make for the bouquet and label tags for the baskets.
I thought they’d make a super cute idea bouquet and put them in a vase with a handful of raffia. Another ribbon tied around the vase and another button topped it off perfectly!
I also put flowers through the “feet” of the baskets.
I love the way these turned out! I think they’d also be adorable in a little girl’s bedroom.
