I showed you how I made a necklace for my friend yesterday. After finishing Denise’s necklace, I had some leftover beads, so I made a few more!
This one was made using a satin ribbon and all large beads. Because these beads had such large holes, I needed a thicker ribbon to be able to have the knots actually hold the beads in place.
Another melted flower was the perfect accent.
I strung small, medium and large beads on organdy ribbon and then added three rosettes made from strips of satin fabric. This necklace almost has a broach like affect since not only is it asymmetrical, but one side is much heavier than the other.
Once I get home I’ll be making a bunch more of these necklaces for my shop!
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for the cute necklace idea! I'm 8.5 month pregnant, and going to a cocktail party tonight- needless to say, my dress isn't cute... but my accessories will be, thanks to you!
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm back to tell you that my necklace was a huge hit last night! Everyone wanted to know where to buy it~ I told them about your site, that you sell them. Hope you get some business!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my necklace was made of wooden beads (sort of diamond-shaped) painted black, on a tan ribbon with a "poppy" on the side.
Hi Julie! I couldn't find a way to reply to you, so hopefully you come back and see this. I'm so glad you made a necklace and that it was such a big hit! Way to make yourself cute! I'd love to see pictures if you have them! Email me at nolanandjill at gmail dot com!
