When we were visiting my parents back in May, we had fun walking through a little boutique that carried adorable children’s clothes and toys. I saw this little outfit and would have loved to get it for Jace had it just been a little LOT cheaper.
I figured it was something I could easily make myself!
I used a green t-shirt (bought back when I had an idea for a shirt for Easter. Oops! Guess that never happened), a patch and some seam tape I got in a bag full of sewing goodies from Goodwill.
The ants were cut freehand from gray seam tape and I used a fabric paint pen to add legs and write on the sign.
The sign was made from a tan patch and I stitched around the inside of it and ric-rack (from the adorable shop, Beautiful Additions) was used for the sign post. Jace has been needing some more shorts for the summer, so I sewed up some plaid ones to make it an outfit.
I’d say he liked the outfit! (He’s shouting “Gar-Gar” at our car.)
He was really excited to look at the ants on the shirt when I showed it to him.
I loved being able to make a fun little something for my Jace and I’m glad he loves it too.
I do have this particular style for sale in my new baby/kids etsy shop, Jilly Bean’s Babies if you want to take a look!
Thanks for stopping by!

Adorable!!! My son is 14 months and his new favorite word is "car". To him, everything with wheels is a car-- the stroller, trains... Will you do a tutorial on how to make the shorts?
