I’ve been feeling the need to make my mantel summery. We aren’t really seeing summer outside (it’s just starting to feel like spring here), so bright and cheery was a must.
It took several tries before I reached this set up. Our couch and love seat are a dark red and the rest of the furniture is black, so I wanted something that would brighten up the room while still looking coordinated with the rest of the space.
And while I love looking patriotic, I didn’t want to feel out of season once we hit the fifth of July. So while my mantel is red, white and blue, I don’t think it screams American flag.
The red is in the candle holders, dictionary and flowers, white in the flowers, wreath, candles and pillars, and blue is a beachy décor mix filling a jar and a vase and the flowers on the wreath.
I also LOVE the wreath I added to the mirror. I’ll tell you more about it (now seen HERE) and the pillars later this week (now seen HERE)!
