T&T Tuesday: Scoops

Saturday evening I made about 150 mini cupcakes for a BBQ and Bunko party my staff team and I were throwing for all of our volunteers on Sunday.

I had seen these adorable Hot Fudge Sundae Cupcakes and knew they were exactly what I had to make.

Making so many cupcakes would have felt like a real chore if it weren’t for my stainless steel scoops. I don’t know about you, but growing up in my house, scooping cookie dough happened with two kitchen spoons and cupcakes were filled using a larger measuring cup. Then I got married and my family’s former next door neighbor gave me a set of three stainless steel scoops. I could never go back to the old spoon method ever again.

I used my medium scoop and perfectly filled the papers.

And then admired such uniform and even cupcakes as they came out of the oven. Mini cupcakes cook and cool so quickly that I was able to bake and decorate them all in just under 2 hours! I topped them with some white frosting (added powdered sugar to thicken), ganache, some sprinkles and a cherry Jelly Belly.

They were a huge hit!
