This past week kicked off my No Spend September. I’m challenging myself to not spend any money on clothes or fabric for clothes this month. I don’t usually spend that much on clothes anyways, but I want to really utilize the pieces I already own. I’ll be shopping in my own closet.
Our first real heat wave of the summer hit this week, so as much as I’d love to have fun with layers, staying cool was the priority.
Sunday: Our church had our September Celebration—all three services came together as one church for one service, outside, celebrating the church’s anniversary. The high of the day was 96 and I was going to be outside from 8 am to 4 pm. I was dressed to sweat in tank tops and shorts from Old Navy.
Tuesday: Ruffled Sleeveless top (also worn here) and dressy striped shorts from Maurices.
Wednesday: Top and capris from Maurices
Thursday: Another day expected to be outside, tank and shorts from Old Navy
I love the top I wore on Wednesday. I bought it with birthday money in April when I told myself I wasn’t allowed to say, “I could make that” and pass on buying something. It’s funny because this top is the one I get asked the most about if I made it or not.
I’ve been enjoying simple projects I can work on from the couch while watching TV. I’ll show you tomorrow what I made from all of these felt circles.
I can hardly wait to see the project!
ReplyDeleteAnxious to see what you are making with the circles! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits! My favorite is the one with the orange/coral tank top. I know what you mean about the days that swelter and the need to make staying cool a priority.
ReplyDeleteI followed you here from Real Momma, Real Style.
