I can cross another project off my 12 by 2012 list! Project 4 was to make a lace infinity scarf like Sweet Verbena’s as well as to make scarves out of all the fabric I bought for my shop. And I did both!
I decided to make mine a small single loop cowl, 11 inches wide and only 25 inches around. So it’s just a tube that I slip over my head. No need for fancy knots or special looping techniques. All the seams are just serged together and visible—which works because the stitching blends in well with the lace.
I liked it so much I made some in two more colors—I think the nude paired with the black lace looks so elegant.
And the bright raspberry pink (the same as I used for THIS shirt) turns almost burgundy when paired with the black. I wore the turquoise one today and LOVED it (so did my coworkers), and I’m trying to figure out outfits for the others as well.
Thanks for stopping by!
