Pretty Nails

I have a horrible time with nail polish. I typically start chipping and cracking within a few hours of painting my nails, and by the second day I’m picking and peeling at them. But then I found this great idea on The Small Things Blog. And I added it to my 12 by 2012 list. And yesterday, just in time for our church’s Women’s Retreat, I did my nails. Check another project off the list!

I used a gel manicure kit, but skipped the tips and just brushed on the gel and activator, directly on my nails (after filing and buffing them). Then topped it off with OPI’s Over the Taupe and some top coat.

I love them! And this picture was taken the next day, after giving Jace a bath, packing for retreat, cleaning out my car and picking at things (that’s right, I’m a picker). Not a single chip or crack yet. I’m excited to see how this manicure lasts.

Have a great weekend! I’m going to be loving my time with a bunch of great ladies at the coast.

  1. I have the same issues!! Please report again in a few days, OK? =) Will you have to do anything special when you remove it?
