We were excited to welcome our newest niece, Hailey, to the family at the beginning of December. I wanted to take a little gift when we met her for the first time. And since she’s been welcomed to the world in December, her little head is going to need to be kept warm!
I followed THIS pattern from Maybe Matilda's etsy shop for the hat base (I just kept off the bear ears and ear flaps).
For the flower I followed THIS tutorial. I love how sweet it is! My sister-in-law was excited that I made it small enough to fit Hailey now since most of her other hats are too big.
Here I am with the sweet new baby! I fell in love with her right away. These baby hats are so quick to make and use very little yarn, so I think I need to make quite a few to keep on hand for when friends have babies.
Thanks for stopping by!

Very cute! The hat looks so soft, too! The baby is beautiful and so are you!
ReplyDeleteI just made my first baby hat last week for my daughter, but it is a little big, so I made another one, then another for a baby from church! All on one skein and pretty quickly, too. I think I am hooked! (haha! I couldn't resist!)
Love that cute hat and you did such a nice job. I too make adorable baby to adult hats and would love to share them with you and others. You might like to check out my website at theroseyposey dot com. Have a great day!
